DigiSail

Le cours en ligne DigiSail est destiné à sensibiliser au potentiel des jeux pour la promotion des sports. Il se concentre en particulier sur la manière dont les fédérations et les clubs de voile peuvent utiliser la plateforme Virtual Regatta pour accroître la participation au sport, communiquer avec les jeunes et briser les barrières d'accès au sport de la voile.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a sharp increase in the number of players on the Virtual Regatta online platform. This trend coincided with a widely conducted analysis of data on the use of gaming in the promotion of sports. Polish Yachting Association decided to implement a similar mechanism and use it to promote sport among young people. The aim of the project is to investigate the correlation between traditional sailing and virtual sailing. In addition, it is planned to implement the Virtual Regatta platform as a tool to increase public participation in sailing in partner countries, as well as to create comprehensive instruction addressed to sailing federations and sports clubs in order to increase public participation in traditional sailing.

The expected effects include increasing the participation of young people in sailing at the federation, district and club level, overcoming economic and communication barriers among people interested in sailing, developing attractive forms of communication with young people and creating new forms of sailing promotion.
